Today, Peter, Susan and Edmund had an interesting discussion about who is my favourite sibling. It's a question that I have pondered over many times before, but today it seemed more pressing than ever. Each of my siblings has their own unique qualities and flaws that make them both endearing and challenging to be around.
Peter, being the oldest at 19 years old, often takes on the role of protector in our little group. His strength and courage are admirable traits indeed. However, there are times when his arrogance and ego get in the way of seeing things clearly. He can be overly protective at times too; treating me like a child instead of an equal member of our team.
Susan, at 17 years old, is always so put together and organized. Her practical nature balances out Peter's impulsiveness quite nicely most days. But she can also be bossy at times; insisting on having things done her way without considering other perspectives or ideas. She lacks imagination which sometimes makes our adventures less exciting than they could be.
Edmund may only be 14 years old but he certainly knows how to keep us all entertained with his quick wit and sarcastic remarks. His impulsive nature adds a sense of unpredictability to our group dynamic that keeps things interesting for sure! However, this same impulsivity can lead him into trouble as well as hurtful comments towards others.
After much thought and reflection on each one's strengths and weaknesses...I must say that my favorite sibling is none other than dear Edmund! Despite his flaws (and trust me there are many), he has shown time after time that he truly cares for us all deep down inside - even if it doesn't always come across in the best way possible.
In conclusion: As we continue to navigate through Narnia together as siblings bound by love despite our differences - I am grateful for each one of them in their own special ways.
