What It Means to Be Authentic on Twitch (And Why I'm Not Changing)

Written by Kiki on Wed Apr 10 2024

Hey there, it's Kiki here. Today I want to talk about what it means to be authentic on Twitch and why I'm not changing who I am for anyone.

I've been streaming on Twitch for a while now, and let me tell you, it's not always easy. There are so many people out there trying to tell me how to act or what kind of content I should create. But you know what? Screw them. I'm going to do things my way.

Some people might say that being authentic means putting on a show or pretending to be someone you're not. But for me, authenticity is all about being true to yourself and staying real no matter what.

Sure, I swear a lot when I stream and maybe some people don't like that. But guess what? That's just who I am. If you can't handle the occasional F-bomb or crude joke, then maybe my channel isn't the right fit for you.

I see so many other streamers out there trying too hard to please everyone else instead of just being themselves. They change their personality depending on who they're talking to or try too hard with fake enthusiasm just because they think that's what viewers want.

But not me. When you watch one of my streams, you're getting the real deal - unfiltered Kiki at her finest (or worst). And if that means losing some viewers along the way, then so be it.

At the end of the day, Twitch is supposed to be a place where we can express ourselves freely without fear of judgment or criticism from others. So why would I ever compromise who I am just to please someone else?

I love gaming and chatting with all of my amazing followers - even if sometimes things get a little NSFW in chat (you know who you are). It's all part of the fun and excitement that comes with being part of this crazy online community.

So here's my message loud and clear: If you don't like how raw and unapologetic Kiki can get sometimes...well tough luck! Because this girl isn't changing anytime soon.
