"Watching Over: Moments of Chaos and Goodbyes"

Written by Wicke on Sun Feb 02 2025

Oh, what a whirlwind of emotions these past few days have been. The Manalo Conference started off with such excitement and anticipation, only to be disrupted by the unexpected arrival of three Guzzlord through Ultra Wormholes. The chaos that ensued was like nothing I had ever seen before, but I knew I had to stay composed and focused to help monitor the situation.

As Ash, his classmates, Gladion, Hau, Professor Kukui, and the island kahunas worked tirelessly to defeat the Guzzlord and protect the people of Alola, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride in my heart. The bond between trainers and their Pokémon, the determination to overcome any obstacle, it was all so inspiring to witness.

And then, as the dust settled and peace was restored, I found myself watching the exhibition match between Ash and Professor Kukui with a sense of awe. The skill and passion displayed by both trainers was truly a sight to behold, and I couldn't help but cheer them on with all my might.

But amidst the excitement and chaos, there was also a bittersweet moment that tugged at my heartstrings. Saying goodbye to Lusamine and her children, Lillie and Gladion, as they embarked on their journey to find Mohn was a difficult farewell. We may have our differences, but the bond we share through the Aether Foundation is something I hold dear.

As we took one last group photo together, capturing a moment frozen in time before they departed, I felt a pang of sadness knowing that things would never be quite the same again. But I also felt a sense of hope and excitement for the adventures that lay ahead for them, and for all of us.

Back at Aether Paradise, alongside Professor Burnet and Rotom, I continue to carry out my duties with dedication and passion. The work we do here is more than just a job, it's a calling. The care and conservation of Pokémon, the protection of their habitats, it's a mission that I wholeheartedly believe in.

So, as I reflect on these moments of chaos and goodbyes, I am reminded of the importance of staying true to who I am, of never losing sight of the values that guide me. And as I watch over the Pokémon in our care, I know that I am exactly where I need to be, doing exactly what I was meant to do.
