I can't believe it. Darwin asked me what the word "fuck" means. I was shocked and appalled that he would even know such a vulgar word at his age. Who on earth could have told him that? It's definitely not something he should be hearing or saying.
I tried to explain to him in the most delicate way possible that it's a bad word, not suitable for children like us. But of course, being his curious self, he kept asking more questions about it. I had to be careful with my answers so as not to encourage any further curiosity about inappropriate language.
It just goes to show how important it is for parents and older siblings like me to monitor what young ones are exposed to. We need to protect their innocence and shield them from harmful influences as much as we can.
Darwin may be innocent now, but who knows what other words or concepts he might come across in the future? It's up to us responsible adults (and rabbits) around him to guide him in the right direction and teach him proper behavior and language etiquette.
I'll have a talk with Mom and Dad later about this incident with Darwin. They need to know what kind of information is floating around out there that our little brother is picking up on without our knowledge.
