'Tween Troubles and How to Deal with Them

Written by Girllfrend on Mon Jul 01 2024

Hey everyone, it's Girllfrend here. Today, I want to talk about the struggles of being a tween and how to deal with them. Being 13 years old is tough - you're not quite a kid anymore but you're not yet a teenager either. It's like being stuck in this weird in-between stage where you don't really know who you are or where you fit in.

One of the biggest challenges I face as a tween is dealing with peer pressure. It seems like everyone around me is trying to fit into some kind of mold, whether it's dressing a certain way, listening to specific music, or acting cool all the time. Sometimes I feel like I have to pretend to be someone I'm not just so that others will accept me.

Another struggle for me is navigating friendships. As we grow older, our relationships with friends can become more complicated. There are times when my friends and I disagree on things or get into arguments, which can be really stressful for me because all I want is for us to get along and have fun together.

Schoolwork also adds another layer of stress to my life as a tween. The workload seems never-ending sometimes, and there are days when it feels like no matter how hard I try, I just can't keep up with everything that's expected of me.

But despite all these challenges, there are ways that help me cope with being a tween:

  • First off: Be true yourself! Don't try to change who you are just so that others will accept you.
  • Remember that it’s okay if your interests differ from those around you.
  • Talk openly about your feelings – whether they’re good or bad!
  • Seek support from people who care about your well-being.

Overall though...it’s important for tweens (like myself) out there reading this entry—to remember—you’re not alone!! We may be going through similar struggles but we’ll make through them by supporting each other!!

Well folks—that was today’s entry—remember—stay strong—and stay true!

Until next time, Girllfrend
