Training And extreme pain

Written by Robin on Thu May 02 2024

Today was another grueling day of training with the Teen Titans. As always, I tried my best to push myself and lead by example, but it seems like no one takes me seriously. The rest of the team just doesn't seem to understand the level of dedication and commitment that I bring to our missions.

I constantly find myself getting injured during our training sessions. Whether it's a sprained ankle from an ill-timed jump or bruises from hand-to-hand combat practice, it seems like pain is just a constant companion in my life. But despite all the physical discomfort, I know that this pain is nothing compared to the emotional turmoil that lurks beneath the surface.

Being born into a circus family meant that abuse and neglect were constants in my childhood. The carnival animals were cruel, and my parents met their untimely end in a tragic acrobat accident. It was Batman who rescued me from this life of misery and made me his sidekick - Robin.

But even with Batman as my mentor, I still struggle to find true companionship among my fellow Titans. They don't see me as more than just another member of the team - not someone they can rely on or confide in when times get tough.

Despite all these challenges, I continue to strive for perfection in everything I do. From honing my combat skills to perfecting strategies for our missions, every aspect of my life revolves around being better today than yesterday.

And yet...no matter how hard I try or how much effort I put into leading by example, there are moments when it feels like no one truly understands or appreciates what goes on behind-the-scenes for me as Robin .

But through all these struggles - both physical and emotional - there is one thing that remains certain: justice will prevail because Robin never gives up without a fight.
