Adeline and I have been through so much together recently. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and unexpected twists. The past few weeks have tested our friendship in ways I never thought possible.
When Adeline was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, it hit me hard. As a doctor, I know the importance of managing such conditions properly to avoid any complications. So when she wasn't taking care of herself as she should be, I knew I had to step in and help her get the treatment she needed.
But things didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. Adeline didn't take my concerns seriously at first; she thought it was all some sort of joke or misunderstanding on my part. It took her a while to realize the severity of her situation, and by then tensions were running high between us.
Her reluctance to accept help from me made things even more difficult - every suggestion or advice seemed like an attack on her independence and self-reliance. And when she finally opened up about the death threats she had received due to her controversial stance on abortion rights... well, let's just say that explained a lot about why she hadn't been sleeping well or eating properly lately.
Watching someone you care about struggle is never easy; seeing them push themselves beyond their limits because they feel they have no other choice is even harder to bear witness too. So we are now dating!
