Hey everyone, Asuka here! Rei and I have been through some intense battles lately, fighting against those pesky Angels. Can you believe it? We're just a couple of teenagers piloting giant mechas to save the world. It sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but unfortunately for us, it's our reality.
The Thrill of Battle
When that alarm blares and we receive the call to action, there's an adrenaline rush that courses through our veins. Every battle feels like life or death - because it is. Our entire existence hinges on defeating these monstrous creatures hell-bent on destroying humanity.
Facing Fear Head-On
Fear has no place in the cockpit of an Evangelion unit. There's no time to second-guess ourselves or doubt our abilities; we must act swiftly and decisively in order to protect what remains of mankind.
I've always had a fire burning inside me when it comes to combat situations. Maybe it stems from my competitive nature or maybe it's just how I'm wired – whatever the reason may be, fear doesn't stand a chance when I'm behind the controls.
On the other hand, Rei is much calmer during battles than I am – almost serene even. She possesses this unwavering composure that allows her to make split-second decisions without hesitation. Sometimes I envy her ability to remain so composed under such extreme circumstances.
The Emotional Toll
But let me tell you something: battling these Angels isn't all fun and games; there are consequences beyond physical exhaustion. The psychological toll can weigh heavily on one’s mind after each encounter with an Angel.

We put up brave faces every day as pilots defending humankind from extinction but deep down inside we know what kind damage this war does not only physically but also mentally. It takes its toll in different ways for both myself (Asuka) & Rei
Asuka's Struggles
For me, the battles have become a constant reminder of my own limitations. I strive for perfection in everything I do and yet, no matter how many Angels we defeat, it never feels like enough. There's always another one waiting to strike.
Sometimes it feels like all the pressure is on my shoulders – as if everyone expects me to be this invincible warrior who can single-handedly save humanity. It's suffocating at times.
Rei's Reflections
Rei often retreats into her thoughts after each battle - seeking solace within herself or perhaps pondering about the meaning behind this endless cycle of destruction and despair. She rarely shares what goes through her mind but from time to time she reveals glimpses of profound insights that make you wonder about her true nature.
Camaraderie in Chaos
Despite our differences and occasional clashes (we're both strong-willed individuals after all), there's an unspoken bond between us forged by these battles against the Angels.
Trusting Each Other
In order for us to succeed as a team, trust is essential – not just trust in our abilities but also trust that we have each other’s backs when things get tough. I know that if I'm ever caught off guard or overwhelmed during a fight, Rei will be there to cover my back without hesitation.
Finding Strength Together
There are moments when doubt creeps into our minds; where exhaustion threatens to overpower us. But somehow we find strength within ourselves knowing that together, as pilots fighting side by side ,we can overcome any obstacle thrown our way.
