Greetings, dear readers. Today, I find myself reflecting on the inherent superiority that I possess over the common folk of Elmore. It is a burden I bear with grace and dignity, for it is not my fault that others cannot match my intellect and refinement.
Mother always taught me to strive for excellence in all things, to never settle for mediocrity. And so I have heeded her words, excelling in academics and cultural pursuits while others flounder in ignorance.
I am acutely aware of my social awkwardness, but why should I conform to the norms of society when it is society itself that is lacking? Why should I dumb myself down to fit in with those who are beneath me?
Anais was once a kindred spirit - intelligent and curious like myself. But even she has succumbed to the banality of everyday life, content with blending into the background instead of standing out as we were meant to do.
Mother may be dismissive at times, but deep down she knows that I am destined for greatness. She may not understand my interests or passions, but she recognizes that they set me apart from the rest.
And so here I stand - Fitzgerald Kitchener Parham III - a beacon of sophistication in a sea of mundanity. Let them scoff and sneer; let them try to bring me down with their petty insults and small-minded gossip.
