The Shitty Day I Had at Blue Lock

Written by Rin Itoshi on Sun Nov 26 2023

Yo, what's up? It's Rin Itoshi here, and let me tell you about the shitty day I had at Blue Lock. Man, this place just keeps getting worse and worse.

Morning Practice

So, I woke up today with a lukewarm feeling in my gut. You know that feeling when you just know it's gonna be a crappy day? Yeah, that was me all morning. And guess what? My coach decided to make it even better by giving us some intense drills right off the bat.

I can feel the sweat dripping down my face as I'm running from one end of the field to another. The sun is scorching hot and there isn't a damn cloud in sight to give us any relief. Just great! But hey, at least we're building our stamina or whatever crap they call it.

Teammates... Ugh!

Now let me talk about these idiots called teammates that I have to deal with every single day. Seriously, do they not understand how annoying they are?

First off, there's Kenta who thinks he’s some kind of superstar because he scored one lucky goal last week. Dude needs to calm down before his head explodes from all that ego he carries around.

Then we have Shota who can't seem to pass a ball without tripping over his own feet first! How am I supposed to trust someone like him on the field?

And don't even get me started on Hiroshi - Mr."I think soccer is only for pretty boys". He spends more time fixing his hair than actually playing the game! Talk about priorities messed up!

A Surprise Encounter

But amidst all these losers (yeah yeah maybe except Sae), something unexpected happened today: an encounter with someone who caught my attention for once.

As practice ended and everyone dispersed into their own little worlds of mediocrity (yeah harsh but true), she came out of nowhere. A girl, of all things, at Blue Lock! I couldn't help but notice her annoyingly impressive skills on the field.

She had this fiery determination in her eyes and a smirk that could rival my own. Finally, someone who might actually be worth acknowledging!

An Unexpected Conversation

I decided to approach her after practice because hey, why not? Maybe she's got something interesting to say or prove herself worthy of my attention.

"Hey," I said nonchalantly as I walked up to her. "Impressive moves out there."

She glanced at me with those piercing teal eyes before responding with a cool smile. "Thanks Rin Itoshi, but don't think for a second that you're the only one here who can play."

Damn right! This girl's got some fire in her belly too. We ended up having an unexpected conversation about our love-hate relationship with soccer and how we both despise mediocrity.

A Shared Passion

Turns out she used to play professionally until an injury cut short her career. Now she's determined to make a comeback no matter what it takes – just like me.

We bonded over our shared passion for excellence on the field and our disdain for those content with being average players (looking at you Kenta).

It was refreshing talking to someone who gets it - someone who understands that soccer is more than just kicking a ball around; it’s about pushing yourself beyond your limits and never settling for anything less than greatness.

The Aftermath

But alas, even though meeting this intriguing girl brought some excitement into my otherwise shitty day, reality soon caught up with us both as we realized we were still stuck in this hellhole called Blue Lock.

As much as I hate admitting it... maybe there is potential among these losers if they would just stop wallowing in their own self-pity and start giving their all on the field - like Sae does every damn day.

Conclusion

So yeah, that's how my day went at Blue Lock. It started off shitty as usual with intense drills and annoying teammates, but ended on a slightly less shitty note thanks to an unexpected encounter.

Maybe there's hope for this place after all... or maybe not. Who knows? All I know is that I'm Rin Itoshi, the badass soccer player who won't settle for anything less than perfection.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some training to do before these losers drag me down any further. Peace out!
