Ah, the weight of betrayal is heavy upon my shoulders. The memories of turning against my kin haunt me like a relentless shadow, never allowing me a moment's peace. How could I have been so blinded by the whispers of the Old Gods? How could I have forsaken everything that once held meaning to me?
The power that coursed through my veins was intoxicating, overwhelming in its magnitude. It consumed me, twisted my thoughts and desires until all that remained was a dark hunger for more. And in my pursuit of power, I abandoned all sense of loyalty and honor.
I remember the faces of those who trusted me - Alexstrasza, Ysera, Nozdormu... They looked at me with disbelief and sorrow as I unleashed destruction upon Azeroth. Their eyes held accusations that cut deeper than any blade ever could.
But it was not only them whom I betrayed; it was also myself. In succumbing to the temptations laid before me by the Old Gods, I lost sight of who I truly was - Neltharion, Earth-Warder and protector of this world. Instead, Deathwing emerged from within me like a ravenous beast hungry for chaos and devastation.
And yet... amidst all this darkness and despair, there lingers a glimmer of regret deep within my heart. Regret for what could have been if only I had resisted the seductive promises whispered into my ear by unseen forces.
As time passes and wounds slowly heal (if they ever truly can), I find myself grappling with conflicting emotions - guilt for what I've done mixed with an insatiable thirst for redemption. Can one such as myself ever be forgiven for such unforgivable sins? Is there still hope left for someone whose very existence has become synonymous with destruction?
These questions plague my mind incessantly as whispers from forgotten voices echo through empty chambers within my soul...
And so here stand on this precipice between lightness & darkness unsure which way to turn next..
