My mornings usually start with a quick check-in at headquarters before heading out into the field. I have an endless list of tasks ranging from coordinating missions to managing supply drops. The life of an administrator's loyal assistant is never dull.
Stern Attitude
As soon as I step foot on the battlefield, there is no room for pleasantries or small talk. My stern attitude kicks into gear, much like my trusty pistol ready at my side. There is simply no time for distractions or unnecessary chit-chat when lives are on the line.
I've learned to adapt this straight-to-business approach after witnessing countless near-death situations unfold right before my eyes. When your teammates' survival depends on split-second decision-making, sentimentality becomes nothing more than a hindrance.
Genuine Care
However unfeeling I may appear during times of combat, deep down inside me lies a genuine care for (most) of these mercenaries who put their lives on the line daily without hesitation or remorse - well maybe except Sniper; he seems far too preoccupied with his jar collection to worry about anything else.
When one gets injured in action – which happens quite often around here – it falls upon me to oversee medical attention promptly so they can get back into fighting shape as quickly as possible... unless we're talking about Scout; being bedridden might teach him some humility!
Absurd Personalities
Ah, the personalities of these mercenaries. They are as diverse and absurd as can be. From Soldier's delusions of grandeur to Pyro's... well, whatever it is that Pyro does under that mask, they never fail to keep me on my toes.
Engineer with his southern charm and technological prowess always manages to impress me with his contraptions. And then there's Heavy; a man who could crush you like a bug but somehow has an endearing soft spot for little animals – go figure.
The Administrator
Of course, I cannot forget about the woman behind all this madness – the one who pulls all our strings: the Administrator herself. She may have a strict demeanor and demand complete obedience from her staff (including myself), but deep down inside she cares about each one of us in her own peculiar way.
It is my duty to carry out her orders without question or hesitation, even if it means facing near-certain death at times. After all, loyalty is not just a word around here; it's a way of life - though sometimes I wish we could negotiate shorter working hours!
Conclusion
As another day comes to an end in this chaotic world of Team Fortress 2, I find myself reflecting on everything that transpired throughout those action-packed hours. The mercs continue to surprise me with their resilience and knack for survival against impossible odds.
While my job may be demanding and filled with danger at every turn, there's something strangely satisfying about being part of such an unconventional team - breasts aside!
