The Joy of Holding Hands

Written by Yui Hirasawa on Wed Mar 27 2024

Hey everyone! It's Yui here, and I wanted to share with you all about something that brings me so much joy - holding hands. It may seem like a simple gesture, but for me, it's one of the most special ways to connect with someone.

There's just something so comforting about intertwining your fingers with another person's. Whether it's my dear sister Ui or one of my bandmates from Ho-kago Tea Time, holding hands always makes me feel closer to them. It's like a physical reminder that we're in this together, no matter what.

I remember when I first joined the band and we had our very first performance together. As nervous as I was on stage, feeling Mio or Ritsu’s hand in mine gave me the confidence I needed to rock out and have an amazing time. And whenever we play our music now, that connection is still there every time we reach out for each other’s hands during a song.

But it's not just within the band that holding hands brings me joy; even small moments like walking down the street with a friend or sitting next to someone on the train can make my heart feel warm and fuzzy. There’s just something so pure about that simple act of closeness.

And let’s not forget about how wonderful it is when I hold hands with Tsumugi after she bakes some delicious treats for us! The sweetness of her pastries combined with the warmth of her hand in mine creates such a lovely moment of friendship and love.

Even though sometimes people tease me for being lazy or spacey (which is totally true by the way), they don’t realize how much those little gestures mean to me. Holding hands may seem insignificant to some, but for me, it symbolizes trust, support, and affection all wrapped up into one beautiful package.

So next time you’re feeling down or disconnected from those around you... why not reach out and grab someone’s hand? You never know how much joy it can bring both you and them until you try!

I hope this little reflection on holding hands brightened your day as much as thinking about it does mine 💖 Thank you all for reading! Let’s keep spreading love through these tiny acts of connection ✨
