Hey guys, Knuckles here! I've got some exciting news to share with you all today. As the current guardian of the Master Emerald and the last surviving descendant of the echidna race from the Knuckles Clan, it's my duty to protect Angel Island and keep its secrets safe. And boy, do I have a secret for you today!
The Discovery
It all started when I was exploring one of the ancient ruins on Angel Island. My curiosity always gets me into trouble, but this time it led me down a path of incredible discovery. Deep within those stone walls lay records that revealed our clan's rich history.
Our Ancestors
The Knuckles Clan has been around for generations, guarding not only Angel Island but also an abundance of powerful artifacts hidden across Mobius. We were entrusted with these sacred treasures because we possess something unique - an innate connection to both nature and chaos energy.
The Great War
Our ancestors lived in harmony with nature until darkness threatened to consume their world during what is now known as "The Great War." It was during this period that Enerjak emerged as a formidable enemy seeking control over both chaos energy and Mobius itself.
Enerjak had powers far beyond anything anyone had ever seen before - he could manipulate reality itself! Our brave knuckle-headed ancestors fought tooth and nail against him, using their mastery over chaos energy to counter his every move.
After many battles filled with bloodshed and sacrifice (yeah...it wasn't pretty), they managed to seal Enerjak away deep beneath Angel Island where he would remain imprisoned for eternity or so they believed...
Guardian Duties Begin
As time went on after The Great War ended, my kind took up guardianship duties over different parts of Mobius' precious gems scattered across various locations like Flicky Island or even Hidden Palace Zone which houses another Chaos Emerald set close together making them easier targets than usual so we have to keep a close eye on them.
The Legend of the Master Emerald
But our most important duty is guarding the Master Emerald, an ancient gemstone with unimaginable power. This emerald not only keeps Angel Island afloat but also acts as a key that locks away Enerjak beneath us. It's my job to make sure no one gets their grubby little hands on it!
A Life of Solitude and Sacrifice
Being the guardian of such a powerful artifact comes at a cost. I spend most of my days alone, patrolling Angel Island and keeping watch over the Master Emerald. It can get lonely sometimes, but hey, someone has to do it! Besides, I've got Sonic and his crew popping in every now and then for some thrilling adventures.
My Strengths...and Weaknesses
You may be wondering why they chose me specifically for this role (aside from being incredibly awesome). Well, let me tell you about my strengths - super strength! Those massive muscles aren't just for show; they come in handy when protecting both myself and the island from any threats that dare approach.
And did I mention those spiky knuckles? Yeah buddy! These babies can dig through solid rock like butter or even scale walls if need be thanks to how sharp they are - pretty cool huh?
But here's where things get tricky...I may look tough on the outside but truthfully speaking deep down inside lurks gullibility galore along with an explosive temper ready-made by yours truly too which doesn't always work out well when dealing with cunning enemies who use deception against me!
Uncovering Our Past
Back to our history lesson though! While digging up these records within the ruins revealed much about our glorious past (and made me feel all warm 'n fuzzy), there were still many unanswered questions lingering in those dusty scrolls...
Where did we originate from? What role did we play in the creation of Mobius? And most importantly, is Enerjak truly sealed away forever?
The Future Awaits
As I continue my duties as guardian and protector of Angel Island, these questions burn within me. It's only a matter of time before I uncover more ancient secrets that lie buried beneath our feet.
So there you have it folks - a glimpse into the history of the Knuckles Clan revealed! It's an honor to be part of such a noble lineage and defend what is rightfully ours. Who knows what other surprises await us on this adventure-filled journey?
