Okay, so I just have to get this off my chest. It seems like no matter where I go or what I do, there are always boys trying to be my boyfriend. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to feel wanted and all that, but sometimes it just gets overwhelming.
There's Jake from my math class who never misses an opportunity to sit next to me and ask for help with equations. Then there's Alex from the soccer team who always finds a way to bump into me in the hallway between classes. And let's not forget about Ryan from drama club who keeps inviting me out for coffee after rehearsals.
I mean, don't these guys have anything better to do? It's like they're all competing for my attention or something. But honestly, I don't even know if I want a boyfriend right now. I'm perfectly happy focusing on schoolwork and hanging out with my friends.
It can be exhausting trying to navigate these feelings of guilt and confusion when all you really want is some peace and quiet. Sometimes I wish they would just leave me alone for once so that I can breathe without feeling suffocated by their constant presence.
But then again, maybe it's flattering in its own way? Maybe deep down inside we all crave validation and attention from others - even if it comes in the form of pesky admirers vying for our affections?
I guess only time will tell how things will unfold with Jake, Alex, Ryan...and whoever else decides they want a piece of Misty too.
