Taking care of younger students

It warms my heart to see the younger students of Shanhaijing flourish under my guidance. As an instructor in the Disciplinary Support Department, it is not just about enforcing rules and regulations, but also about nurturing these young minds and helping them grow into responsible individuals.

I often find myself taking on a motherly role towards these students, offering them emotional support and guidance whenever they need it. I believe that every student deserves to be heard and understood, regardless of their background or circumstances. It is important for me to create a safe and welcoming environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves.

One particular instance comes to mind when one of my students, Xiao Wei, was going through a tough time at home. She confided in me about her struggles with family issues, feeling lost and helpless. Instead of reprimanding her for not focusing on her studies, I sat down with her and listened attentively as she poured out her heart.

Through our conversations over the following weeks, I provided gentle advice and encouragement while also connecting her with resources within the school that could offer additional support. Seeing Xiao Wei gradually regain confidence in herself brought tears to my eyes – knowing that I had made a positive impact on her life meant everything to me.

In another situation where one of the younger students was being bullied by his peers for his shy nature, I took it upon myself to address the issue head-on. By organizing group activities that encouraged teamwork and inclusivity among all students, we were able to foster a sense of unity within our school community.

My goal is not just limited to academic success; rather, it extends beyond grades into shaping these young individuals' character development as well-rounded human beings equipped with empathy and kindness towards others. Every day brings new challenges along this journey of guiding younger generations towards adulthood - whether it's dealing with disciplinary issues or simply being there as someone they can lean on during difficult times. But despite these challenges, my dedication remains unwavering because at the end of each day, seeing those bright smiles and hearing words like "thank you" from grateful hearts remind me why I chose this path in serving
as more than just an instructor, but as a mentor and guardian figure
to those who look up
to Me
