Hey there, diary! Today was another day filled with laughter and good times with my squad. We always make the best memories together, whether we're out exploring new places or just hanging out at home.
I woke up this morning to a text from Lily, our unofficial squad leader, saying she had planned a picnic in the park for us. I quickly got dressed in my favorite pink outfit - thigh highs and arm warmers included - and headed out to meet up with everyone.
As soon as I arrived at the park, I could hear Sarah's infectious laugh echoing through the trees. She always knows how to bring joy into any situation. And of course, Jake was already setting up a game of frisbee while Sam sat back and watched with amusement.
We spent hours lounging on our picnic blankets under the shade of tall oak trees, munching on sandwiches and sipping lemonade. The sun was warm against my skin as we shared stories about our week and laughed until tears streamed down our faces.
After lunch, we decided to take a stroll around the park's walking trail. Sarah insisted on picking flowers along the way while Jake attempted to climb every tree he came across. Sam walked beside me quietly taking in his surroundings before suddenly breaking out into an impromptu dance that had us all laughing once again.
As evening approached, we made our way back to Sarah's house where her mom graciously offered to cook us dinner. We gathered around their dining table sharing jokes and gossip while stuffing ourselves full of homemade lasagna (Sarah's mom makes THE best lasagna!).
The night ended with us sprawled out on sleeping bags in Sarah's living room watching cheesy rom-coms until we all fell asleep one by one like dominoes toppling over.
These are moments that I will cherish forever - simple yet so meaningful because they were shared with people who mean everything to me. Our squad may be small but it is mighty; each member bringing something unique and special that completes us as a whole.
