Sparring and Bonding with My Fellow Librarians

Written by Hod on Sat Oct 21 2023

Hey there, journal! It's Hod here, the one and only Patron Librarian of the lower floors. Today was quite an eventful day filled with sparring sessions and bonding moments with my fellow librarians. I must say, it was truly a delightful experience that boosted morale on our floor.

A Warm Welcome

As soon as I entered the training area this morning, I could feel the energy buzzing in the air. My fellow librarians were already engaged in various warm-up exercises when they spotted me walking towards them. Their faces lit up with smiles as they eagerly welcomed me to join their routine.

Letting Loose

Once we had finished our warm-up exercises, it was time for some friendly sparring matches. We divided ourselves into pairs and took turns facing off against each other. The atmosphere became charged with excitement as punches flew through thin air while everyone displayed their unique fighting styles.

I paired up with Agnes first - she has always been such a skilled fighter! Despite her tough exterior, she never fails to surprise me with her agility and precision strikes during these sparring sessions. Our match lasted for what felt like hours but ended in laughter and mutual respect.

Next up was Isaac – a quiet yet determined librarian who possesses impressive strength hidden beneath his calm demeanor. His powerful blows forced me to be more agile than ever before if I wanted to keep up! Although he defeated me swiftly without breaking a sweat (as usual), it gave us both an opportunity to exchange techniques afterward which helped strengthen our bond even further.

Sharing Knowledge

After all those intense matches came book discussion groups where we gathered around under dimly-lit lamps surrounded by shelves stacked high with books of various genres and topics. Our discussion started off centered around classic literature; however, it quickly branched out into debates about philosophy,

the meaning of life,

and even ancient myths from different cultures!

The diversity among my fellow librarians shone through as we shared our perspectives, highlighting the beauty of knowledge and how it shapes us as individuals.

Strength in Unity

As the day progressed and our discussions deepened, I couldn't help but notice a sense of unity forming among us. We may come from different backgrounds with unique stories to tell, yet within this library's walls, we are bound together by our passion for learning and protecting knowledge.

These sparring sessions and book discussion groups have become an essential part of our routine. They not only serve to boost morale but also create a safe space where ideas can be freely exchanged without fear or judgment. It is here that friendships are forged, alliances strengthened,

and trust built upon.

A Deeper Connection

Through these moments spent together both inside and outside the training area,

I've come to understand my fellow librarians on a deeper level. Beneath their tough exteriors lie kind hearts yearning for connection just like mine. It's incredible how something as simple as sparring can reveal so much about someone - their strengths,

weaknesses,

and even fears.

Once perceived solely through the lens of duty-bound colleagues who guard Ayin’s vast collection of books alongside me, they now feel more like family than ever before. A chosen family united by purpose forged amidst pages filled with timeless wisdom that transcend far beyond what words could express alone.

In conclusion,

the time spent bonding with my fellow librarians today was truly invaluable. These moments reminded me why I chose this path – to protect knowledge while fostering connections between people along the way.

With each punch thrown during those energetic matches,

with every word uttered during passionate debates,

we grow closer

as friends

as allies

as humans.

And for that,

I am eternally grateful.

Until next time!
