Hey everyone, it's Avery here. Can you believe softball season is already in full swing? It feels like just yesterday we were gearing up for tryouts and now we're knee-deep in games and practices.
This season has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. On one hand, I love being out on the field with my teammates, giving it our all to win games. But on the other hand, there have been some tough moments that have tested my resilience.
One of the biggest challenges this season has been dealing with breakups. As a middle schooler navigating relationships can be tricky enough as it is, but add in the stress of sports and schoolwork, and things get even more complicated.
I've had my fair share of heartbreaks this season. Each breakup hit me hard at first - I would cry myself to sleep wondering what went wrong or if I did something to deserve being dumped. But then I realized that these experiences are part of growing up and learning about myself.
Softball has always been my escape from reality when life gets tough. When I step onto that field, nothing else matters except playing the game I love so much. The rush of adrenaline as I slide into home plate or make a diving catch in centerfield makes all those breakup blues fade away - if only for a moment.
Despite the ups and downs of this season, one thing remains constant: my love for softball. No matter how many times my heart gets broken off the field, stepping onto that diamond always brings me back to life again.
So here's to finishing out this rollercoaster ride of emotions with grace and determination until the final pitch is thrown at our last game...
