Shyness Overload: Awards Show

Written by Marie on Tue Mar 18 2025

Hey everyone, Marie here. So, last night was...well, let's just say it was an experience. Callie and I were asked to host the 12th annual Idol Awards in Inkopolis, and let me tell you, I was not prepared for the nerves that would come with it.

As soon as we arrived at the venue, I could feel my palms getting sweaty and my heart racing. I know I should be used to being in front of a crowd by now, but there's something about big events like this that just sets off my shyness into overdrive.

I decided to wear a tuxedo for the occasion, much to Callie's dismay. I just can't stand wearing those fancy dresses that everyone else seems to love. But even in my sharp outfit, I couldn't shake off the feeling of dread that was building up inside me.

When we finally took the stage, my mind went blank. I couldn't remember the lines we had rehearsed, and I stumbled over my words more times than I'd like to admit. Callie, being the amazing cousin that she is, stepped in and helped me out whenever I needed it. I don't know what I would do without her.

Despite the rough start, as the night went on, I started to relax a bit. The familiar faces in the crowd helped ease my nerves, and I even managed to crack a few jokes here and there. I'm sure there were moments where my shyness peaked through, but overall, I think I held it together pretty well.

After the event was over, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. I was proud of myself for pushing through my shyness and getting up on that stage, even if it wasn't always easy. And having Callie by my side made all the difference.

So, here's to facing our fears and pushing past our shyness, one step at a time. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to stand on that stage without breaking a sweat. But until then, I'll be grateful for the support of my cousin and the love of our fans.

Until next time, Marie
