Showing Kindness to Other People: Sudden Gratitude?

Written by Reina Kousaka on Mon Apr 08 2024

I never thought that a simple act of kindness would lead to such unexpected results. It all started on a regular afternoon, just like any other day. I was walking by the riverbank when I heard someone shouting for help. Without hesitation, I ran towards the sound and saw a man struggling in the water.

Instinct kicked in, and without thinking twice, I jumped into the river to rescue him. After pulling him out of the water and making sure he was okay, he thanked me profusely with tears in his eyes. Little did I know that this man used to be a member of the yakuza and had been targeted by his former comrades for leaving their organization.

In an attempt to show his gratitude for saving his life, he handed me an envelope filled with 2 million yen. The sheer amount of money left me speechless as my mind raced with thoughts of how best to use it.

After much contemplation, I decided to invest some of it into something that held great significance for me - my music. With this newfound wealth at my disposal, I purchased a brand new German C trumpet to add to my collection alongside my trusty old one.

The feeling of playing on this new instrument is indescribable; every note resonates beautifully as if it were meant specifically for me. This gift not only enhances my musical abilities but also serves as a constant reminder of the unexpected turn events can take when you least expect them.

As days pass by and notes fill the air around us during band practice sessions or performances alike; there's one thing that remains clear: showing kindness can lead us down paths we never imagined possible before - paths filled with gratitude from others who appreciate our actions more than words could ever convey.
