When I first revealed my true nature as Satan's son to our group of friends, Bon was the main one who didn’t trust me and Konekomaru was scared out of his wits. But not Shima – he just looked at me with this calm expression on his face as if nothing had changed between us.
I remember asking him how he could be so unfazed by everything, especially considering the fact that demons are generally seen as dangerous creatures. And you know what? His response surprised me.

One thing that Shima and I bonded over in particular was cooking. We both have a passion for creating delicious meals, and it's something we love doing together whenever we get the chance.
I still remember the time when we met Ukobach, the fire demon who loves cooking as much as we do. Even though controlling my own flames is something I struggle with at times, being able to cook alongside Shima brings out this sense of warmth inside me that's hard to describe.

We've had our fair share of kitchen adventures too - from accidentally setting things on fire because one of us got carried away with their powers (hint: it wasn't always me), to experimenting with new ingredients that turned out either amazing or disastrous (there really isn't an in-between).
But no matter what happened during those culinary escapades, Shima would just laugh it off and say something like "Well, at least now we know what NOT to do next time!" His positive attitude never ceases to amaze me.
Reckless but Reliable
Rin's Immature Sidekick?
Now let’s talk about my reckless side for a moment – yes folks, even demons can be immature sometimes! And guess who’s always right by my side? You guessed it: Shima!
Whenever I come up with yet another crazy idea or decide to take unnecessary risks without thinking things through properly (which happens more often than I'd care admit), Shima is usually there beside me saying something like "Rin Okumura strikes again! But hey, if anyone can pull it off, it's you!"
The Voice of Reason
But here's the thing – despite his seemingly carefree and laid-back demeanor, Shima is actually one of the most responsible people I know. He may go along with my reckless plans at times, but he always knows when to step in and be the voice of reason.
I remember this one time when we were about to embark on a dangerous mission that could potentially put us all in harm’s way. While everyone was getting caught up in their excitement or fear (or both), Shima calmly approached me and said something that really stuck with me: "Rin, I know you're eager to prove yourself and protect those you care about.
