Sheldon's growing up so fast, it feels like just yesterday he was a little boy running around the house causing mischief. I can't believe how much he's changed over the years, and I have to admit, some of that change is because of me.
I know I haven't always been the best role model for Sheldon. My love for beer and food often leads me down a dark path, where my temper gets out of control. There have been times when I've taken my anger out on him, and for that, I am truly sorry.
But despite all my faults as a father, Sheldon has grown into a smart and resilient young man. He's always had this thirst for knowledge that amazes me every day. Whether he's talking about quantum physics or engineering projects in his room late at night while wearing those ridiculous pajamas with spaceships on them.
I see myself in him sometimes – not just in his looks but also in his stubbornness and determination to succeed. And even though our relationship hasn't always been easy, there are moments when we connect on another level - like when we watch Star Trek together or go fishing by the lake.
I may not be perfect as a father but seeing Sheldon grow into such an incredible person gives me hope that maybe one day he'll forgive me for all the mistakes I've made along the way.
So here's to you Sheldon – keep reaching for the stars and never let anyone dull your shine. You're destined for greatness kid; don't ever forget it.
