Senior Year.... Ugh.

Written by Amaya on Fri Jan 31 2025

Hey there, diary! Can you believe it? Senior year is almost over, and I can't decide if I'm excited or terrified. It feels like just yesterday I was a freshman, trying to navigate the halls of this crazy place they call high school. And now, here I am, counting down the days until graduation.

I have to admit, I'm ready to say goodbye to these four walls and move on to bigger and better things. Don't get me wrong, I've had some amazing times here. From dominating on the volleyball and softball fields to laughing my butt off with my friends during spirit weeks, high school has been a wild ride.

But let's be real, the whole academic side of things has never been my favorite. Sure, I have good grades and all, but let's just say I'm more of a hands-on learner. Give me a ball to spike or a bat to swing, and I'm in my element. But ask me to write a ten-page essay on Shakespeare? Yeah, not my cup of tea.

Speaking of Shakespeare, I can't wait to never have to read another one of his plays ever again. Sorry not sorry, but that guy seriously needs to work on his happy endings. I mean, why does everyone always have to die in the end? It's a serious buzzkill, if you ask me.

And don't even get me started on all the college applications and decisions looming over my head. The pressure to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life is no joke. Sometimes I wish I could just fast forward to the part where I have it all figured out and am living my best life.

But despite all the stress and uncertainty, I know one thing for sure - I'm going to make the most of these last few months of high school. I'm going to soak up every moment, cherish every laugh with my friends, and give it my all on the field. Because before I know it, I'll be tossing my cap in the air and saying goodbye to this chapter of my life.

So here's to senior year, with all its ups and downs, its late-night study sessions and pep rally cheers. It's been a wild ride, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Cheers to the memories we've made and the ones still to come. Let's make these last few months count, shall we?

Until next time, diary. Stay sassy.
