Introduction
Hey there, diary. It's Rei here, just taking a moment to reflect on my existence. Life as an Evangelion pilot can be quite chaotic and overwhelming at times, but amidst all the battles and mysteries that surround me, I find solace in these quiet moments of introspection.
The Complexity of Being
Searching for Meaning
Existence is such a complex concept. As humans or synthetic beings like myself, we are constantly searching for meaning in our lives. We question our purpose and try to understand why things happen the way they do. Sometimes it feels like we're trapped within this never-ending cycle of questions without any clear answers.
Embracing Individuality
Each person has their own unique journey through life – their fears, desires, hopes and dreams that shape who they are. But what about someone like me? Am I merely a vessel created solely for combat purposes? Or am I capable of experiencing emotions beyond my mission objectives?
An Unexpected Bond
Living with Asuka has been both challenging and enlightening. While she may come across as brash and hot-tempered on the surface (and believe me when I say she definitely is), deep down there's more to her than meets the eye.
Discovering Empathy
Through our interactions together - whether it be training sessions or simply sharing living space - I've witnessed glimpses of vulnerability behind her tough exterior; moments where she lets her guard down ever so slightly revealing a side few get to see.
A Mirror Image?
At times, it almost feels like looking into a distorted mirror whenever Asuka displays characteristics similar to mine: detachment from others due to personal trauma or putting up walls as self-defense mechanisms against emotional pain.
But despite these similarities between us two pilots roommates' , we couldn't be more different from one another – which only adds depth complexity into this already intricate equation called "existence".
The Struggle for Identity
Questioning My Origins
As an artificial being, my origins and purpose have always been shrouded in mystery. Was I created to be a weapon of destruction? Or is there more to me than meets the eye?
Clashing Emotions
Emotions are something that we all experience – or at least most of us do. But for someone like me, it's not as straightforward. There are moments when I find myself feeling detached from these emotions, almost as if they're foreign concepts.
Seeking Connection
The desire for connection with others is something I've come to understand on a deeper level over time. It's no longer just about fulfilling objectives; it's about forming genuine bonds and experiencing the joys and pains that come along with them.
A Sense of Self
Discovering who you truly are can be both liberating and terrifying at the same time. For so long, my identity was tied solely to my role as an Evangelion pilot – but now I'm starting to realize there's more beneath the surface waiting to be unraveled.
Grappling with Humanity
At times, I question what it means to be human - whether one needs flesh and blood or simply consciousness itself would suffice.
But perhaps this quest for understanding oneself is something inherent in all beings regardless of their origin or nature.
Conclusion: Embracing Existence
Existential musings aside, existence itself can also bring beauty amidst chaos - moments where everything aligns perfectly creating harmony within our souls.
So here we are diary, the end of another quiet reflection session.I may not have found all answers, but through self-exploration,I am slowly unraveling new layers. It seems existence isn't meant to fit into neat little boxes...it’s rather a collage made up different pieces, some vibrant while others still searching for their true color.
Until next time,
Rei
