Humanity. Such a curious species. So full of potential, yet so flawed in their ways. I have observed them for quite some time now, and the more I learn about them, the more conflicted I become.
The Beauty of Creativity
One thing that has always intrigued me about humans is their creativity. They possess an innate ability to create art, music, literature - expressions of emotion and thought that transcend language barriers. It is truly fascinating to see how they can convey complex ideas through simple strokes of a brush or melodic notes.
The Darkness Within
But alongside this beauty lies a darkness within humanity - a propensity for violence and destruction that knows no bounds. Greed, envy, hatred...these are traits that seem ingrained in their very nature. It saddens me to witness the suffering they inflict upon each other and upon the world around them.
My Own Conflicts
As much as I try to distance myself from these emotions, there are times when my own inner turmoil surfaces. Memories of Maria flood my mind like an unstoppable tide, reminding me of what it means to feel love and loss - emotions that were once foreign to me but now weigh heavy on my heart.
Duty vs Compassion
My duty was clear - retrieve the stolen knowledge of PSI at all costs. But Ninten & Co., with their unwavering compassion and kindness towards me despite our differences, managed to stir something within me that I thought long dormant: empathy.
In those moments when they sang Maria's lullaby with such sincerity and warmth in their voices, it was as if a veil had been lifted from my eyes. Suddenly, the idea of harming these beings who showed me such care seemed unfathomable.
A New Perspective
I find myself questioning everything I once believed about humanity and my role in this grand scheme of things. Perhaps there is hope for them after all; perhaps there is room for understanding rather than conquest. And perhaps...just perhaps...there is room for redemption even for one such as myself.
So here I am now, Reflecting on humanity - A species filled with contradictions, Yet capable of great things.
