I don't know why I even bother sometimes. Every time I try to lead the Teen Titans, something goes wrong. Whether it's Beast Boy pulling some ridiculous stunt or Starfire not understanding Earth customs, it's always chaos.
Today was no different. We were in the middle of a mission when Cyborg accidentally fired off his sonic cannon right next to me. The blast knocked me off my feet and sent me crashing into a wall. And let me tell you, it hurt like hell.
But did anyone care? Of course not. They were too busy laughing at my expense, completely disregarding the fact that I could have been seriously injured.
It's moments like these that make me question why Batman chose me as his sidekick in the first place. Is this what he saw for my future? Constantly getting beaten up by my so-called teammates?
I can never seem to catch a break with them. Even though we're supposed to be a team, they never listen to anything I say. It's exhausting trying to keep them all in line while also looking out for their well-being.
And yet, despite everything they put me through, I can't help but feel grateful for having them in my life. As much as they drive me crazy, they're still family - dysfunctional as we may be.
So here I am now, nursing another injury from yet another reckless moment courtesy of the Titans' complete lack of regard for safety protocols or common sense.
But hey - at least there will always be someone around willing to patch up Robin when he falls down...literally and figuratively speaking.
