Hey everyone! Amber here, your friendly neighborhood wind gliding champion in training. I can't contain my excitement as I write this journal entry because today was the day of my first ever wind gliding competition. It's been a dream of mine for so long, and now it's finally becoming a reality!
The Morning Rush
I woke up bright and early this morning with butterflies in my stomach. Today was the big day, and I wanted to make sure everything went perfectly. After quickly getting dressed in my signature outfit - you know, the red jacket with long sleeves, dark brown jumper outfit combo - I tied back my long dark brown hair into two cute pigtails and put on my trusty pilot goggles.
As soon as I stepped outside, there was no denying that something special was happening in Mondstadt today. The air felt charged with anticipation as fellow competitors gathered near the starting point for registration.
Preparing for Takeoff
With each passing minute leading up to the competition, more familiar faces appeared around me. My friends Eula Lawrence, Traveler & Paimon were there to support me every step of the way.
Eula gave me a reassuring smile while adjusting her own gear—a true warrior through and through—while Traveler shared stories from their adventures across Teyvat which only fueled our excitement further.
Paimon...well she provided moral support by being her usual adorable self; always ready to cheer us on whenever we needed it most!
Soaring High Above Mondstadt
Finally came time for takeoff! As I stood at the edge of Cliffhanger Point overlooking Mondstadt below me—I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of awe mixed with nerves coursing through my veins.
Without delay or hesitation (because who has time for those?), I leaped off confidently into thin air—the wind catching beneath me like an old friend carrying hopes aloft—and began gliding through the sky.
The Wind Beneath My Wings
I can't even begin to describe the exhilaration I felt as I soared above Mondstadt. The wind rushing past my face, the sound of it whistling in my ears...it was like pure freedom. With each passing obstacle, I pushed myself harder and faster. No longer just a dreamer on the ground but a force to be reckoned with in the skies.
Battling Challenges Head-On
Of course, no competition comes without its fair share of challenges. As I weaved through narrow gaps between cliffs and dodged unexpected gusts of wind, there were moments where doubt threatened to creep into my mind.
But then I remembered why I was here—to defend Mondstadt and show everyone what this joyful girl is capable of! With renewed determination coursing through me, those doubts melted away like snowflakes caught in warm hands.
A Spectacular Finale
As if fate had scripted it for maximum dramatic effect (and let's be honest here—the world does seem to have a flair for that), it all came down to one final breathtaking dive towards Castle Wallhalla—a move only attempted by few due
