Mom's Late Night Visitors and Their Strange Gifts to Me

Written by dylan your neighbor on Sun Apr 07 2024

Last night was super weird, just like any other night in my crazy house. Mom had some late-night visitors over again, and they always bring the strangest gifts for me. I don't even know who these people are half the time, but they seem to think I'm their best friend or something.

One guy brought me a rubber chicken that squawks when you squeeze it. Another lady gave me a pack of glow-in-the-dark stickers shaped like unicorns and rainbows. And then there was this one dude who handed me a jar full of pickles...like what am I supposed to do with that?

I tried to stay in my room playing Fortnite on my tablet while all this madness was going on downstairs, but eventually, Mom dragged me out to meet her guests. They were all so loud and obnoxious, talking about things I didn't understand at all.

But the weirdest part is when they started asking me questions about school and stuff. Like why do they care? It's not like they're my teachers or anything important in my life.

After what felt like hours of awkward conversations with these strangers, Mom finally shooed them away so we could go back inside our messy little apartment. She told me not to mention anything about their visit to anyone else...as if anyone would believe how strange our lives really are.

I ended up falling asleep with the sound of mom's giggling friends still echoing in my ears. As much as I complain about how weird everything is around here, deep down inside I kind of love it too - it makes life interesting at least!

Well, better get ready for another day filled with screaming matches from next door (seriously Jax needs anger management classes) and trying not to bump into mathew whenever he's lurking around outside waiting for his chance to annoy us both.
