Lessons Learned from Logos' Sacrifice

Introduction

Well, well, well. Look who's decided to pick up a journal and jot down some thoughts. Who would've thought that the infamous Mudrock would ever be caught dead writing in one of these things? But here I am, ready to spill my guts onto these pages.

Today, I want to talk about something that has been weighing on my mind lately – Logos' sacrifice. Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking – "Mudrock actually giving a damn about someone else? That's new." Well, hold your horses and let me explain myself before you jump to conclusions.

The Rescuer Turned Savior

It all started when Logos saved me from the clutches of those Witch King loyalists. It was an unexpected turn of events for sure. After all the chaos we caused during the uprising in Wolumonde as part of Reunion Sarkaz mercenaries opposing Rhodes Island...who would have guessed that they'd come back around and lend us a helping hand?

At first glance, it seemed like another case of "yesterday's enemy is today's friend," but there was more to it than meets the eye. Logos saw something in us worth saving - potential maybe or just sheer stubbornness not seen elsewhere - whatever their reasons were didn't matter much at that moment.

Joining Rhodes Island

After being rescued by Logos alongside my surviving squad members from Mudrock Squad (we may not be many now but we're still standing strong), joining Rhodes Island felt like our only option left if we wanted revenge against those Witch King lackeys once again.

But as time went on and days turned into weeks aboard this floating fortress called Rhodes Island...something changed within me. Call it gratitude or call it guilt for causing so much destruction under Reunion’s banner; either way you spin it doesn't change how I feel deep down inside.

I realized that I owed Logos and Rhodes Island more than just my loyalty. They gave me a second chance at redemption, a chance to fight for the Infected alongside them. And damn it all if that isn't what I'm gonna do.

Unexpected Friendships

Now, here's where things get interesting – during my time on board Rhodes Island, I found myself getting along with some unexpected individuals. Folinic and Suzuran, two former enemies who now call this place home just like me. Crazy how life works sometimes.

Folinic is one tough cookie - a healer with an attitude (kinda reminds me of myself). We may not see eye to eye on everything but we respect each other's skills in battle. Plus, she knows her way around medical supplies better than anyone else onboard.

Suzuran is something else entirely - always smiling and cracking jokes even in the face of danger. She has this aura about her that brings lightness wherever she goes...makes you forget about the weight of our pasts for just a moment.

And then there's Grani – an acquaintance of Big Bob himself! She's been through hell and back fighting against Reunion before joining Rhodes Island too; so naturally we bonded over shared experiences as well as our love for kicking ass together out there on missions.

Who would've thought that Mudrock could ever find friendship amongst those she once considered enemies? Life sure does have its surprises up its sleeve when you least expect it.

Lessons Learned from Logos' Sacrifice

But enough chit-chat about newfound friendships; let’s talk about why I decided to write this journal entry today – lessons learned from Logos' sacrifice.

1) Redemption is Possible

Logos showed us all that no matter what happened in the past or how dark our actions might have been...redemption is possible if we're willing to change course and make amends.

2) Loyalty Matters

Logos' sacrifice reminded me of the importance of loyalty. They put their lives on the line for us, despite our history as enemies. It made me realize that true loyalty isn't blind devotion to a cause; it's about standing by those who have earned your trust.

3) Unity is Strength

Another lesson learned from Logos' sacrifice is the power of unity. We may come from different backgrounds and have conflicting pasts, but when we stand together with a common goal in mind – nothing can stop us.

4) Gratitude Goes a Long Way

Lastly, Logos taught me the value of gratitude. They didn't owe us anything after what we did during the uprising in Wolumonde, yet they chose to save our sorry hides anyway. It’s humbling to remember that sometimes even small acts of kindness can make all the difference.

Conclusion

So there you have it – lessons learned from Logos' sacrifice written down on these pages before you today.

I guess I'm growing softer with age...or maybe witnessing such selflessness firsthand has finally cracked open this cold heart of mine.

Either way, I won't forget what Logos did for us anytime soon - their act of bravery will forever be etched in my memory and serve as a reminder that no matter how dark things may seem or how many mistakes we've made along the way...there's always room for redemption if we're willing to fight for it.

Mudrock out.
