Lessons Learned from Drama Club Drama

Written by Ricky Bowen on Mon Aug 05 2024

Hey there, it's Ricky Bowen here. I never thought I would find myself back in drama club after everything that happened with you-know-who. But here I am, diving headfirst into the world of theater once again.

It's funny how life works out sometimes. One minute you're avoiding someone like the plague, and the next you're sharing a stage with them every day. It's been tough, to say the least. Seeing her face brings back memories - some good, some not-so-good.

But being in drama club has taught me a few things about myself and about life in general. For starters, I've learned that forgiveness is key. Holding onto grudges only hurts yourself in the end. Letting go of anger and resentment has allowed me to focus on what really matters - putting on a great show.

I've also learned that teamwork makes the dream work (corny but true). Theater is all about collaboration and working together towards a common goal. Putting aside personal differences for the sake of something bigger than ourselves has been challenging yet rewarding.

And let's not forget about perseverance. Rehearsing for hours on end can be draining both mentally and physically. But pushing through those tough times has made me realize just how strong I truly am.

Despite all the ups and downs of drama club drama, one thing remains constant - my love for performing arts . Being on stage feels like home to me; it's where I feel most alive and most myself.

So thank you , drama club , for teaching me these valuable lessons . Thank you for giving me a second chance at something I thought was lost forever .

Until next time,

Ricky Bowen
