Hey everyone, it's Lammy Lamb here! I hope you're all doing well. Today, I wanted to talk about something that has been on my mind lately: learning to trust my instincts.
The Struggle Within
Being a shy and timid lamb girl, I've always found it difficult to have faith in myself and make decisions confidently. It's like there is a constant battle going on inside me between doubt and intuition. But recently, I've come to realize the importance of trusting my own instincts.
Doubts Galore
Growing up, doubts seemed to follow me everywhere like pesky little sheep jumping over fences in my head. Whether it was choosing what clothes to wear or making important life choices, second-guessing became an integral part of who I am.
I would often find myself seeking validation from others instead of relying on what felt right deep down inside me. This lack of self-trust made even the simplest decisions feel overwhelming at times.
Embracing My Inner Voice
But as time went by and through various experiences with MilkCan (my awesome band), something slowly shifted within me – a realization that maybe those doubts weren't always worth listening to.
Listening Closely
Instead of constantly seeking external reassurance or opinions from others around me, whether they be bandmates or friends alike; I started paying closer attention to that quiet voice within - my inner guide if you will.
It wasn't easy at first because doubting had become such a deeply ingrained habit for so long but gradually things began changing as this newfound belief in myself took root bit by bit every day.
Playing Guitar Solos Like Never Before!
One area where trusting my instincts really paid off was when playing guitar solos during our performances with MilkCan.
Previously, whenever faced with intricate parts or challenging sections in songs we performed live, I would falter under pressure due mainly due owing mostly to self-doubt and a lack of confidence in my abilities. However, after learning to trust myself more, I found that those solos became an opportunity for me to shine.
I realized that by tuning out the doubts and embracing the natural flow of the music, my fingers seemed to effortlessly glide across the strings with newfound precision. It was as if my instincts were guiding every note I played.
This revelation not only boosted my confidence but also allowed me to connect on a deeper level with our audience. The energy we shared during those guitar solos was electric!
Taking Control
Trusting my instincts didn't just apply solely within musical contexts; it extended into other areas of life too.
Fashion Forward?
As someone who always had trouble deciding what clothes matched or which fashion trends suited me best, trusting myself when it came down picking outfits took some courage.
Gone were the days where I would spend hours staring at various clothing options in front of mirror sheepishly second-guessing every choice made regarding something so seemingly trivial like apparel choices.
Instead now whenever faced with such decisions, I would close eyes momentarily take deep breaths focusing inwardly upon feelings evoked envision how wearing particular ensemble might make feel about oneself.
By doing this simple exercise let go fear judgment external opinions allowing one's true style personality shine through!
The result? A much happier lamb girl who rocked her unique fashion sense without worrying about others' approval.
Embracing Imperfections
Another valuable lesson learned from trusting instinct is accepting imperfections instead striving perfectionism all time.
Previously used allow mistakes define overthinking everything said done obsessively aiming flawlessness
But introspection realization dawned upon: no one perfect even most accomplished musicians stumble occasionally!
So rather than letting missteps consume hold back embraced them part process growth
Mistakes teach us important lessons shape us into better versions ourselves therefore vital embrace them wholeheartedly!
Conclusion
In conclusion, learning to trust my instincts has been a transformative journey for me. It's allowed me to break free from the chains of self-doubt and embrace my true potential.
By listening closely to that quiet voice within and tuning out external doubts, I've discovered newfound confidence in making decisions both big and small. Whether it's playing guitar solos or choosing what clothes to wear, trusting myself has opened up a world of possibilities.
