Learning to Love my Legs of Steel 💪❤️

Written by Stephanie on Wed Apr 24 2024

Hey there! It's Stephanie, and I'm here to spill some thoughts on my legs of steel. Yes, you read that right. These babies have been with me through thick and thin, quite literally.

I remember the first time I realized just how strong my legs were. Back in my NCAA gymnastics days, I would spend hours perfecting routines and pushing myself to the limit. And let me tell you, it paid off big time. My legs became like powerful pistons propelling me through flips and twists with ease.

But as much as I loved what my legs could do for me in the gym, outside of it was a different story. Growing up as a tomboy meant constantly battling stereotypes about what girls should look like or act like. And having these muscular legs only seemed to amplify those doubts in my mind.

I used to hide them under baggy pants or long skirts, afraid of standing out too much or not fitting into society's narrow definition of beauty. But over time, something shifted within me – maybe it was maturity or self-acceptance – but I started seeing things differently.

Instead of viewing my legs as a source of insecurity, I began embracing them for all they were capable of doing for me. They carried me through countless competitions where I pushed myself beyond limits others thought possible; they gave power to every kickboxing class where sweat dripped down our faces but we kept going; they held firm when life threw challenges at us that made us want give up altogether yet somehow found strength stand tall again despite odds stacked against us

Nowadays? You'll catch rocking shorts wherever go because damn proud show world exactly who am fearlessly authentic unapologetically fierce never backs down from challenge brings everything got table no matter happens next always ready take life by horns make own rules break barriers along way

So yeah learning love appreciate respect cherish adore worship practically bow knees before incredible pair superhuman limbs call mine might seem strange outsiders looking but truth is without wouldn't be half woman today More than anything grateful opportunity learn grow evolve into person worth being proud
