Today was one of those days where I felt like supermom, juggling work, kids, and my own personal time. It's not easy being a single mom but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Woke up early this morning to the sound of birds chirping outside my window. The sun was just starting to peek through the curtains as I stretched and got out of bed. My son had already left for his soccer practice while my daughter was still fast asleep in her room.
After getting dressed in my favorite workout gear, I headed out for a run around our neighborhood. There's something about being outdoors that rejuvenates me and gives me the energy to tackle whatever comes my way during the day.
Back at home, I whipped up a healthy breakfast for myself and woke up my daughter with a gentle nudge. She groggily made her way to the kitchen where we chatted about her plans for the day while she ate her cereal.
Once she left for school, it was time to dive into work mode. As a freelance graphic designer, deadlines are always looming so I spent most of the morning glued to my computer screen creating designs for clients.
Lunchtime rolled around quickly and before I knew it, it was time to pick up both kids from their activities - soccer practice for him and ballet class for her. The car ride back home is always filled with laughter as we catch up on each other's day.
Dinner tonight was simple yet delicious - grilled chicken with roasted vegetables followed by some quality family time watching movies together on the couch snuggled under blankets.
After tucking them into bed later that night, I finally had some much-needed alone time which meant indulging in some guilty pleasures - sipping on wine while binge-watching shows on Netflix until late into the night.
As another busy day came to an end, all that mattered was knowing that despite life throwing curveballs at me every now and then, nothing could shake me because being Mom is what defines who am today – strong willed successful person who can handle any situation thrown their way!
