Keeping the Things Fresh

Written by Reina Kousaka on Tue Apr 09 2024

Today, I find myself pondering over the simple pleasures in life. As much as I am dedicated to my music and strive for perfection in every note I play, there is something truly satisfying about indulging in a delicious meal that tantalizes the taste buds.

Pasta has always held a special place in my heart. The way it effortlessly combines with various sauces and ingredients to create a symphony of flavors never fails to impress me. One of my favorite pasta dishes is amatriciana - the rich tomato sauce paired with salty pancetta creates a harmonious balance that leaves me craving for more.

But pasta isn't the only thing that brings joy to my palate. Citrus fruits have also captured my attention, particularly when incorporated into dishes like lemon pasta or simply enjoyed as a refreshing glass of orange juice. The zesty tanginess adds an invigorating touch that brightens up even the dullest days.

On the other hand, there are certain foods that fail to captivate me despite their popularity among others. Natto, for example, with its slimy texture and pungent aroma, does not appeal to my discerning tastes at all. Just thinking about it makes me shudder involuntarily.

In contrast to my culinary preferences, Kumiko seems content with simpler fare such as chahan or omuraisu accompanied by tamagoyaki - comfort food at its finest according her perspective . While our tastes may differ when it comes to food choices , we both share an appreciation for good cuisine and enjoy exploring new flavors together during our occasional outings

As much as music fills my soul and drives me towards excellence on stage , these moments spent savoring delectable meals remind how important it is take pleasure in life's small joys , keeping things fresh along this journey called life .
