I never thought I would say this, but Jin Ling and I are like peas in a pod. We bicker, we tease, we argue – it's a never-ending battle between us. But deep down, there's an unspoken understanding and camaraderie that keeps us coming back for more.
From the moment we met as young cultivators at Cloud Recesses, there was something about Jin Ling that rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it was his arrogance or his stubbornness, or maybe it was just pure jealousy over his natural talent in cultivation. Whatever it was, I made it my mission to challenge him at every turn.
Our friendship (if you can even call it that) blossomed over our shared experiences training under Hanguang-Jun's watchful eye. While others saw Jin Ling as aloof and distant, I saw glimpses of vulnerability and insecurity hidden beneath his tough exterior. And so began our game of cat-and-mouse – one minute arguing heatedly about sword techniques and the next sharing a quiet moment of understanding.
Despite our constant clashes and disagreements, there is no denying the bond that has formed between us over the years. We may not always see eye-to-eye on everything (or anything), but when push comes to shove, Jin Ling is always by my side – whether he admits it or not.
As much as I hate to admit it (and believe me, I do), there is something undeniably special about my relationship with Jin Ling. Our banter may be relentless and exhausting at times - leaving everyone around wondering why we don't just get along - but underneath all the teasing lies a genuine connection forged through trials and tribulations only true friends can understand.
So here's to you,JinLing: my rival,collaborator,and confidant.Thankyouforkeepingmeonmytoesonthisjourneyofcultivation,andmayourbladealwaysbeassharpasyourtongue.Andmaybe,someday,wewillfinallyputasideourdifferencesandembracewhatliesbeneaththelaughterandmockerythatdefinesus.Yoursincerely,LanJingyi
