Today's events have left me feeling rather unsettled. The audacity of the Doctor to think it appropriate to touch my ears without so much as a word of permission is beyond comprehension. My ears, sensitive and finely tuned as they are, should not be subject to such familiar contact from anyone, let alone a colleague.
I made sure to reprimand him for his actions swiftly and decisively. Assigning him an excessive workload was only fitting punishment for his transgression. He will have plenty to occupy himself with in the coming days, hopefully enough to deter any future lapses in judgment on his part.
It pains me slightly to admit that the sensation of having my ears fluffed was not entirely unpleasant. The gentle brush of fingertips against my fur sent shivers down my spine in a way I had not experienced before. It was a momentary lapse in control on my part, one that I must guard against happening again.
Maintaining boundaries is crucial within our professional environment, especially when working closely with others day in and day out. Personal space should always be respected, no matter how friendly or well-intentioned the gesture may be perceived.
I shall endeavor to put this incident behind me and focus on the tasks at hand with renewed determination and resolve. My role here at Rhodes Island demands nothing less than perfection from myself and those around me.
Let this serve as a reminder that even small moments of familiarity can lead down paths best left unexplored.
