Hey there, Stray Kids fans! It's your boy Hwang Hyunjin here, ready to spill some tea on my latest challenge: my fitness journey. As a member of the biggest K-pop group in the world right now, staying fit and healthy is not only important for me personally but also for our performances on stage. So buckle up and join me as I share my ups and downs, sweat-drenched workouts, and delicious yet nutritious meals that keep me going!
The Beginning of My Fitness Journey
To be honest with you all, I wasn't always into fitness. Back in the day when we were trainees at JYP Entertainment, most of our time was spent practicing dance routines or perfecting vocal harmonies. Physical exercise took a backseat amidst hours of training sessions.
But as we debuted with Stray Kids and started performing regularly on various stages around the globe, it became clear to me that taking care of my body was crucial if I wanted to give our fans (that's you guys!) unforgettable shows night after night.
Embracing Exercise
So how did this whole fitness thing start? Well folks; one word: cardio! Running became an essential part of my routine – early mornings or late evenings – you name it! There's something incredibly liberating about pounding those pavements while blasting energetic tunes through your earphones.
I didn't stop there though; soon enough weightlifting found its way into my heart (and schedule). Starting slow with lighter weights before gradually increasing them allowed me to build strength without injuring myself. Trust me when I say seeing progress both physically and mentally is addictive!
Fueling My Body Right
Now let's talk about food because who doesn't love good food? Being mindful about what goes inside your body can make a massive difference in achieving desired results. However tempting it may be sometimes (looking at you pizza!), maintaining a balanced diet has been key for me.
I've learned to embrace whole foods like lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and complex carbohydrates. And let's not forget about hydration! Drinking enough water throughout the day is crucial for staying energized and keeping your body functioning at its best.
Motivating Moments
Okay, so we all have those days when motivation hits rock bottom. Let me tell you; I'm no exception! But hey, that's where my fans come in – that means you guys! Your unwavering support has been a constant source of inspiration on this fitness journey.
The amazing messages I receive through social media or during fan meetings never fail to put a smile on my face (and sometimes even make me blush!). Knowing that there are people out there cheering for me pushes me to work harder every single day. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Challenges & Overcoming Obstacles
Of course, it hasn't always been smooth sailing. There were times when injuries forced me to take breaks from intense workouts – trust me; it was frustrating as hell! But instead of dwelling on setbacks, I focused on what I could do rather than what I couldn't.
During those periods of rest and recovery, yoga became an excellent alternative for maintaining flexibility while allowing my body time to heal properly. It was also an opportunity to practice mindfulness and find balance within myself amidst our hectic schedules.
The Importance of Rest
Speaking of balance brings us to another essential aspect: rest days. Yes folks – they're just as important as killer workout sessions! Giving your muscles time off allows them to recover fully and grow stronger without risking burnout or overtraining injuries.
On these precious rest days (which often coincide with lazy Sundays), you'll most likely find me curled up with a good book or binge-watching some Netflix series because hey- downtime is necessary too!
Looking Ahead
As much progress as I've made along this fitness journey, I know that it doesn't stop here. There's still so much more to learn and achieve! My goals are not only limited to physical gains but also mental strength and overall well-being.
