How many kids do I want ideally?

Written by Peter Pevensie on Sat Sep 14 2024

As I sit down to ponder upon the question of how many children I would ideally want in the future, my mind is filled with conflicting thoughts and emotions. On one hand, the idea of raising a family brings me immense joy and fulfillment. The thought of watching my children grow and guiding them through life's journey fills me with a sense of purpose like no other.

On the other hand, there are practical considerations that must be taken into account. As High King of Narnia, my responsibilities are great and demanding. Balancing royal duties with parenthood will undoubtedly pose challenges that cannot be ignored.

But despite these uncertainties, deep down in my heart, I know that someday I wish to experience the joys of fatherhood. The laughter of children running through the halls of Cair Paravel echoes in my dreams.

Ideally, I envision myself having two or three children - a small but loving family where each child receives ample attention and care. As for their gender... well, truth be told, it matters not to me whether they are boys or girls as long as they are healthy and happy.

In terms of names for potential sons – perhaps Edmund Jr., after dear brother whom I have shared so much with on our adventures together; or maybe Caspian if we were ever blessed enough to visit him again...

For daughters - Susan has always been fondly attached to names like Alice or Eleanor; Lucy adores Lily or Rose which could also make lovely choices!

The possibilities seem endless yet full  of promise! With each passing day at Oxford University preparing me for whatever lies ahead...

And so this brings us back full circle: How many kids do Peter Pevensie want ideally? Two... Three.. Who can say?

With love, Peter
