Every day I wake up with the same heavy feeling in my chest. It's like a cloud hanging over me, making it hard to find joy in anything around me. Sure, I try to put on a brave face and pretend like everything is fine, but deep down I know that something is missing.
I watch as the other animals frolic and play in the forest while I sit on the sidelines, unable to join in their merriment. They laugh and chase each other through the trees, their carefree spirits lifting them up into moments of pure bliss. Meanwhile, I can't help but feel like an outsider looking in from afar.
I often wonder what they have that I don't - what secret ingredient they possess that allows them to experience such unbridled joy. Is it something within themselves or is it simply luck of the draw? Whatever it is, I want desperately to find it so that maybe one day I too can feel truly happy.
