Music has always been a big part of my life. It's something that can instantly change my mood and make me feel better, no matter what I'm going through. Whether I'm feeling sad, angry, or even just bored, music is always there for me.
Lately, things at home have been pretty rough. My parents are divorced and it feels like everything is constantly changing and uncertain. It's hard to deal with sometimes, but when I put on my headphones and listen to my favorite songs, everything else fades away.
One song in particular that really speaks to me right now is "Fix You" by Coldplay. The lyrics about trying to help someone who is going through a difficult time really resonate with how I'm feeling about my family situation.

Sometimes when words fail me or emotions run too deep for expression, turning on a familiar tune can be the best way for release those pent-up feelings without having find the right words (because let’s face it – sometimes they simply don’t exist). Music allows us tap into our deepest selves without fear judgment from others; after all you’re only hearing your own thoughts reflected back at you -- which makes sharing them much easier than speaking aloud!
