I never realized how much power a simple gesture could hold until today. It all started with a small act of kindness from someone I barely knew, but it left a lasting impact on me.
I was just going about my day at school, minding my own business, when I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I saw you standing there, asking to borrow my pencil with a smile on your face. Without hesitation, I handed it over to you and watched as you went back to your seat.
It may seem like such a trivial thing - lending someone a pencil - but in that moment, it meant so much more. It was an act of connection between two strangers who had never spoken before. And for some reason, it made me feel good inside.
