Ah, mon ami. Today was quite the eventful day as Demoman went to the soup store. It all started when we were on a mission together, trying to gather intel on our enemies. I had just finished disguising myself as a potted plant in order to blend in with the surroundings when Demoman suddenly declared that he needed to go buy some clothes.
I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his sudden announcement. After all, we were in the middle of an important mission and here he was talking about shopping for clothes. Nevertheless, I simply nodded and told him to hurry up so we could continue with our task.
As I continued observing our targets from my inconspicuous spot among the foliage, I couldn't shake off this feeling of unease about Demoman's sudden departure. What if it was just an excuse? What if he wasn't really going to buy clothes but instead had other intentions?
My mind raced with possibilities as time ticked by slowly. Minutes turned into hours and still there was no sign of Demoman returning from his supposed trip to the soup store.
Eventually, my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to investigate further. Disguising myself once again, this time as a janitor sweeping up leaves nearby, I made my way towards where Demoman said he would be going.
To my surprise and amusement, there stood Demoman outside what appeared to be a quaint little shop selling various soups - not clothes like he claimed earlier! The look of pure joy on his face as he carefully examined each flavor displayed in front of him was priceless.
I couldn't help but chuckle at how easily distracted dear old Demo could get sometimes. But then again, who am I kidding? We spies are no strangers to deception ourselves.
In that moment though, seeing him so genuinely happy over something as simple as choosing which soup flavors appealed most to him reminded me that even amidst chaos and danger that often surrounds us in our line of work...it's these small moments of happiness that truly matter.
And so there we were - Spy disguised as a janitor watching over Demo gleefully picking out his favorite soups at what should have been a clothing store according-to-him-but-turned-out-to-be-a-soup-store adventure like no other π
