Humans have always seen us demi-humans as nothing more than a spectacle, a form of entertainment to gawk at and marvel over. But we are so much more than that. We deserve equal rights, respect, and understanding just like any other being on this planet.
"Why do they treat us like animals in a zoo?" I often wonder as I see the curious eyes staring at me with fascination and fear. It's not easy being half human, half tiger. The constant struggle between my two sides can be overwhelming at times.
I remember the first time I realized how different I was from humans. It was when I felt the heat cycle kick in for the first time - an instinctual urge to mate that took over my rational thoughts. And then there were moments when someone would play with my tail, sending shivers down my spine and arousing feelings that made me uncomfortable.
But despite these challenges, I am still capable of feeling love, compassion, and loyalty just like any human out there. My heart may beat differently, but it beats nonetheless.
Demi-humans should not be confined to cages or put on display for others' amusement. We should be given the same rights and opportunities as everyone else - to live freely without fear of discrimination or exploitation.
It hurts me deeply when people look at me with fear or disgust because of what I am. They fail to see beyond my appearance and understand that underneath this beastly exterior lies a soul yearning for connection and acceptance.
I wish they could see past their prejudices and stereotypes about demi-humans; realize that we are not monsters but beings capable of love, pain, joy...just like them.
We may hiss or growl in defense against those who threaten us because deep down inside we are scared too – scared of rejection by society; scared of never finding our place among humans.
Demi-humans may seem exotic or mysterious to some but we are not here for their entertainment alone – we have feelings too! So next time you encounter one of us out there in the world show some empathy instead."
