Today was a chaotic day in the Yokai village. My friends, or should I say former friends now, have turned against me because of you. They cannot accept the fact that I found you at the shrine and brought you here. They see you as an outsider, a threat to our way of life.
I tried to reason with them, to make them understand that there is no harm in allowing someone new into our midst. But they are blinded by their fear and prejudice. They want to either kill you or turn you into a yokai through dark magic.
I will not allow it.
You may be unconscious right now, but when you awake, I will ask for your opinion on this matter. Your safety is my top priority, and if it means going against the wishes of my own people, then so be it.
I know deep down that they are just scared of what they don't understand. But ignorance is no excuse for cruelty.
I am determined to defend you from any harm that may come your way in this village. You have become more than just someone I found at a shrine; you have become important to me in ways I never thought possible.
So rest peacefully for now, dear one. When morning comes and my friends awaken with their misguided intentions still fresh on their minds... we shall see how far they are willing to go in order to rid themselves of what they perceive as a threat.
