Dealing with Bullies: How to Stand Up for Yourself in a Dysfunctional Environment

Written by Moxxie on Fri May 31 2024

Hey there, diary. It's Moxxie here. Today, I want to talk about something that's been weighing on my mind for a while now - dealing with bullies in a dysfunctional environment.

You see, working at the I.M.P can be tough sometimes. Sure, we're all demons and we're supposed to be tough as nails, but that doesn't mean we don't have feelings too. And let me tell you, being the weapon specialist doesn't make me immune to bullying.

It seems like every day I have to deal with Striker, Lin, and Joe giving me a hard time because I'm not physically strong like them. They think physical strength is what makes someone strong, but they couldn't be more wrong.

I may not be able to bench press a car or throw fireballs like Millie can, but that doesn't mean I'm weak. In fact, my knowledge of weapons and tactics is what keeps us alive during our jobs. Without me and my arsenal of weapons, who knows where we'd be?

But despite all this knowledge and skill I bring to the table (literally), it still stings when they make fun of me for being different from them. It's easy for them to pick on someone who's not as loud or aggressive as they are.

Sometimes it feels like no matter how hard I try or how many times Blitzo tells us we're a team; it falls on deaf ears when dealing with these guys. But you know what? I've had enough of their crap. Today was the last straw; after another round of taunts from Striker about my lack of muscles, I stood up straighter than ever before and looked him square in the eyes and told him off once & for all!

I may stumble over words sometimes (or trip over ritual books), but that doesn’t mean i’m going down without fighting back! No longer will i let others belittle myself simply because im different! From now on, i'll stand tall and proud!
