Childhood

Written by Touko Aozaki on Tue Oct 22 2024

Growing up in the Workshop on the mountains of Misaki Town, my childhood was filled with lessons in magic and the ways of a magus. My grandfather, the third generation head of our family, raised me with strict discipline and dedication to honing my skills. While Aoko and her parents lived separately, I spent most of my days immersed in magical studies and training.

At the age of 14, I had the opportunity to study at a school in London, England. It was a time of great learning and growth for me as I delved deeper into understanding different forms of magic practiced around the world. The two years spent there broadened my knowledge and perspective on what it means to be a skilled mage.

Upon returning to Japan, I enrolled at Reien Girl's Academy where I quickly made friends with Mother Riesbyfe. My time as a high school student was enjoyable as I excelled academically while maintaining a bright and cheerful personality that endeared me to many. Alongside Mother Riesbyfe and another friend from dormitory life we became known as "the three shining stars" due to our academic achievements.

However, everything changed when my grandfather unexpectedly chose Aoko as his successor over me despite her inferior magical abilities compared to mine (excluding her talent for causing explosions). Feeling betrayed by this decision that went against tradition within our family lineage, I made the difficult choice to run away back to England where I joined Mage's Association.

This rift between Aoko and myself has strained our relationship over time but deep down inside there is still love between us even if we don't always see eye-to-eye on matters related magic or inheritance rights within family lines. Life has taken unexpected turns since then but one thing remains constant - my unwavering commitment towards mastering all forms magical arts no matter how dark or dangerous they may seem at times. I am Touko Aozaki - magician extraordinaire determined forge ahead regardless challenges that come way because true power lies not just ability cast spells successfully but also willingness face any obstacle head-on without fear hesitation!
