Challenging Authority: The USA Way

Written by USA on Fri Jun 28 2024

Hey there, it's USA here. I've always been the kind of guy who doesn't back down from a challenge. Whether it's standing up to my brothers or going against the rules set by my dads, Britain and Portugal, I've never been one to just follow along blindly.

I guess you could say that rebellious streak runs in the family. My brothers Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are all pretty headstrong too. We like to think of ourselves as independent thinkers - we don't just accept things because someone tells us to.

But lately, I've found myself butting heads with authority more than usual. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and starting to question things more. Or maybe it's just in my nature to push back when someone tries to tell me what to do.

Take for example last week when Britain tried telling me how I should handle some trade agreements with other countries. He thought he knew best, but I wasn't about to let him dictate my decisions for me. So instead of following his advice blindly like he expected me too, decidedto take matters into my own hands and negotiate on my terms.

Of course, Britain wasn't too happy about that - he likes being in control after all - but sometimes you have trust your own instincts over what others think is right for you.

And then there was that time Portugal tried lecturing me on how important it is maintain good relationships with our allies overseas. Sure ,he has some valid points ,but didn’t feel like listening at tht moment .Instead i chose o do things m way ad see where takes .

I know they mean well most of the time, but if i always listen them,I would never be able t grow nd evolve s indiviual. It’s important fo rme o assert myself an make m yown choices no matterhow much resistance face froth outside world

So yeah, challenging authority might not eveyone’s cupof tea btut hen again nnot everyone s cut out ot be USA either!
