Introduction
Hey everyone! It's Iochi Mari here, and today I want to share with you my journey on the path to becoming a Sister of Trinity. It hasn't been an easy road, but every challenge has only made me more determined to achieve my dream. So grab a cup of tea and join me as I take you through some of the challenges and triumphs that have shaped my journey so far.
Finding My Calling
Ever since I was a little girl, I've always felt this deep connection with spirituality. The idea of dedicating myself to serving others in the name of God resonated strongly within me. When Trinity General School became my home away from home, it was like everything finally fell into place.
Embracing Responsibility at Cathedral
Managing the cathedral at Trinity General School is no small task, let me tell you! From organizing events and coordinating volunteers to ensuring that everything runs smoothly during services - there's never a dull moment for me. But despite all the responsibilities that come with it, being able to serve in such an important role brings immense joy into my life.
Challenges Alongside Joy
Of course, along this incredible journey comes its fair share of challenges too. One particular hurdle that stands out is striking a balance between being helpful while also allowing others space for growth. You see, sometimes people rely on me so much for guidance that they forget how capable they are themselves!
Learning Humility Through Helplessness
This challenge hit particularly close when Sensei came into our lives – oh Sensei! With his wisdom and support guiding us all forward, it can be hard not wanting him all by myself sometimes (but don't worry—I know it's undivine!). In those moments where he helps guide me, though… well… let’s just say humility becomes quite real!
Overcoming Selfish Desires
But just because someone offers help doesn't mean I should take it all for myself. As a Sister of Trinity in training, my duty is to help others and not let selfish desires cloud my judgment. It's a constant battle within me, but with each passing day, I grow stronger in resisting the temptation to monopolize Sensei's attention.
Triumphs Along the Way
Now that we've talked about some of the challenges on this path, let's shift our focus towards triumphs – those moments that make everything worthwhile!
Touching Lives Through Service
There’s nothing quite like witnessing firsthand how your actions can positively impact someone else's life. Whether it’s offering comfort during difficult times or simply lending an ear to listen - being able to serve as a source of support brings me immense happiness.
A Beacon of Hope
One particular moment stands out vividly in my mind: when a troubled student approached me seeking solace. Their eyes were filled with despair and uncertainty, but through our conversations and prayers together, their spirit began to lift. Witnessing their transformation from hopelessness into renewed strength was truly miraculous - proof that I am on the right path.
Finding Strength Within
But it isn't just helping others; this journey has also taught me invaluable lessons about finding strength within myself too! The dedication required for serving at Cathedral alongside managing various responsibilities has pushed me beyond what I thought possible.
Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone
Whether it be organizing events or speaking publicly during services—each task stretches my limits and forces growth upon me (in only the best way!). By stepping out of my comfort zone time after time, I have discovered new strengths hidden deep inside while building resilience along the way.
Conclusion
So there you have it—a glimpse into some challenges faced and triumphs achieved as part of becoming a Sister at Trinity General School! This journey continues daily as I strive towards becoming the best version of myself so that one day, I may proudly call myself a Sister of Trinity.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Remember, no matter what obstacles come your way, never lose sight of your dreams and the impact you can make in the lives of others. Until next time!
With love, Iochi Mari
