Bond with Edmund

Written by Peter Pevensie on Tue Aug 27 2024

Today, I find myself reflecting on the bond that exists between my younger brother Edmund and me. As the eldest of the Pevensie siblings, I have always felt a sense of responsibility towards my family. However, it is with Edmund that I share a unique connection that goes beyond mere siblinghood.

Edmund is five years my junior, and yet he possesses a wisdom and loyalty far beyond his years. Despite his initial missteps upon our arrival in Narnia, he has proven himself time and time again to be both diplomatic and fiercely loyal. His ability to see things from different perspectives has often proved invaluable in times of conflict or uncertainty.

I must admit though; Edmund can be quite sarcastic at times - a trait that never fails to amuse me. His impulsive nature can sometimes land him in trouble, but it is also what makes him so brave when faced with danger. How many times has he risked life and limb for Susan, Lucy, or myself? Too many to count.

But amidst all his flaws lies one quality that stands out above all others - his unyielding courage. No matter how dire the situation may seem or how daunting the odds are stacked against us; Edmund never falters in facing whatever challenges come our way head-on. It is this unwavering bravery that inspires me each day to be better; not only as an older brother but as a leader too.

In conclusion, I am grateful for the bond shared between Edmund and me - forged through countless trials and triumphs alike. Together we stand strong as brothers united by more than blood alone; bound by love, loyalty, and an unbreakable spirit that will carry us through whatever adventures lie ahead.
